Windows 10: What happens to iCloud when my employer closes my business Microsoft account?

Hi,My employer requires me to use an iPad and Apple ID in connection with Microsoft products like Teams, Outlook, Excel etc.My Apple ID is my private one, i.e. I only have that one and it is used to sync whatever I store in iCloud accross my devices. I do not save much in iCloud, but have a few files there.I will be leaving my employer and the Microsoft account will be closed then, but what will happen with the iCloud integration once the Microsoft account is closed by my employer?R :-

Deleting Microsoft account

We understand your concern. However, the prompt might be because as you have mentioned that you have not logged in to the account for long period and we would need some information regarding the issue.

1. Could you please let us know where exactly you are getting the error message?
   
2. Are you using Microsoft or local account to login to Windows?
   
3. If Microsoft account, may I know which Microsoft account are you using to login to Windows
   

Meanwhile, we would suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below to unlink your Microsoft business account from Gmail Microsoft account (If Microsoft Business account is linked to Gmail account).

1. Log on to primary
   Microsoft account (Gmail).
   
2. Go to Your Info > Contact Info.
   
3. Click on Manage email address.
   
4. Then try removing secondary account.
   

If you are trying to remove the account from the device, we would suggest you to refer

To remove an email account and To remove an account used by apps and check if it helps.

Windows and Icloud Mail etc: Failing to initialise

Could you please help me with the below questions:

1. Are you aware of making any changes to the computer prior to the issue?
   
2. Do you receive any error message when the spinner stops?
   

I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: Uninstall iCloud application.


I would suggest you to Sign out from the iCloud account from the app, then uninstall the application.

1. Press Windows
   and R key together on your Keyboard.
   
2. Type appwiz.cpl and hit enter.
   
3. Select the iCloud application and click on Uninstall.
   

Method 2: Reinstall iCloud application.


Step 1:

I would suggest you to ‘Download
the latest version of iCloud’
from the apple website. Follow the Onscreen instructions and install the application. For more information, check the article on
Set up and use iCloud for Windows.


Step 2:

Once the installation is completed, tap on the Windows key on your keyboard, search for ICloud app. Right click on the app and click on
Pin to taskbar.

Using Surface with iPhone, iCloud,
and iTunes.
