Windows 10: What happens when I finish University with Microsoft 10 Education OPERATING SYSTEM.

When I enrolled in to my new course at Uni I was advised that you can download the Microsoft 10 education operating system for free as I was building a new PC at the time, it was really useful. I researched it and the information said that after you finish Uni, the OS won't expire, which is fairly obvious. Though now I have left Uni, the institution I studied at have locked my email and user account out of any affiliated software such as adobe, AUTO desk and my operating system for my PC. I rang the I.T department and they said they will try to unlock it for 7 days to give me time to save my data elsewhere. However the OS doesn't expire and this seems like a short sited initiative if after your course you become locked out of your OS.


So my question is, when they unlock my account, can i change my Microsoft education OS affiliated Microsoft email to a Microsoft personal email. Or will Microsoft Education 10 OS always want to find an affiliated educational institution to link with which if so is so short sited. As the sign in options are right now - my account which is locked or 'other user' which states 'Sign in to: Your work or school account'.


I guess I can just delete my OS system and then purchase one, but its my last option.


I would just like to reiterate again that I'm talking about the computers operating system here, not Microsoft office or any programme.

I look forward to the day where Microsoft bins the Windows operating system, and build an entirely new operating system from the bottom up. New everything. They are the only company in the world capable of doing it. About time something new happened as opposed to ui changes.
