Windows 10: What Happens When I Switch Off S Mode on my Windows 10 Home S Mode laptop?

I need to download some programs, including the search engine Chrome, for my video broadcasting service. Problem: My new laptop has S Mode on it which prevents me from doing so.


So what happens when I switch it off since I can't just test it out and return to S mode if I find I've made a mistake?



1. Is the security provided that much different without S mode?

2. How much slower will my laptop function without the S mode?

3. Will I be able to upload Windows 10 Pro, if I need to do that?

4. Another answer to a similar set of questions said I would only be able to purchase from the Microsoft Store, even after I remove the S mode. Is that correct or did I misunderstand the response?

5. Does Windows 10 Home have the capacity to operate video broadcasting services such as HAPPS and Zoom?

Switching out of S Mode

I am having trouble switching my laptop out of S Mode. I went through the steps that are listed, and the Windows Store is updated and it won't let me click Get when you go to the screen to switch out of S mode.

The concern you have encountered may be due to a corrupted file or a misconfigured setting. Windows 10's Tablet Mode provides a more touch-friendly experience by making all applications run at full screen and giving you a Start screen instead of a Start Menu.
If you have a 2-in-1 device, Windows 10 asks you if you want to enter tablet mode every time you convert your notebook into a slate. Kindly follow the steps below to sort out the concern:

• Click Settings from the Start menu
  
• Click System, then select Tablet Mode in the left panel. A tablet mode submenu appear
  
• Toggle "Make Windows more touch-friendly . . ." to on to enable Tablet mode. Or off to go to desktop mode
  
• Configure the "When this device automatically switches" menu to let Windows 10 to switch modes on your 2-in-1 prompt or not prompt you.
