Windows 10: What has caused the some of the text on my Windows 11 Lenova to become faint?

After a computer clean up, the text in various places on my Windows 11 Lenova became faint in both my default Chrome browser and in Microsoft Edge I spent hours with Microsoft tech support and Geek Squad tech support in five sessions without getting the problem fixed as they tried changing the font, font sizes, the display resolution, etc. in both Windows and Chrome settings. I finally stumbled on the solution myself - the "Clean Type Text" setting had been turned off. Turning it on again fixed the problem.

Faint text display?

I've noticed the standard text on my display has become faint, as if it is a paper printer running out of ink. It improves if I enlarge the touch screen. Does anyone know how to fix this? It is very annoying.

I hope this is where I can put in the details. I have recently updated from Windows 7 to Windows 10, and a couple of days later, on Microsoft’s recommendation, to Windows 11. I find things I seriously don’t like. First, texts are now posted in small type in grey or light blue. They are hard to read. I need bigger size and more contrast. Searching for “Contrast”, I am directed to “Themes”, which shift from grey or light blue letters on a white background to white letters on a black or other dark background. No, I just want darker letters on a white background, but MS seems unwilling to give me that.

Scrollbars are not clearly defined. The column is too narrow, with no clear borders, and the blob is, like the texts, faint and hard to find. I see that there are programs that give colored columns with blobs in contrasting colors, but they require writing code in CSS, which is above my pay grade.

I have had Windows 11 for only a few days, but these are the leaders in a litany of annoyances that, if MS cannot provide a solution, will cause me to switch to a Linux OS in the near future.

Lenova motion controller

When upgrading on windows 10 the Lenova Motion Controller was giving a error 1706 and followed advice on the chat forums (problems with windows 10 upgrades ) to uninstall and install again.

We uninstalled and at first it did not seem to respond but it is no longer under my programmes.Next step to reinstall i assume is the only option:

It now seems Lenova (Lenova sales team) does not have the software as it comes with the laptop when purchased (was windows 8.1 with the auto upgrade to 10 when available)

I tried the links you gave unsuccessfully. Lenova does not seem to have a free Technical support.

Windows updates are up to date
