Windows 10: What has changed after the October ISO? Updates breaking capture sequence in Windows 11 24H2

Hello, I am mostly wanting this to be a report and not as much a question. I build a VM and apply the current enterprise download, along with any installs to an image. We are not on autopilot, but that is the environment I am in...Windows 11 24H2 October ISO with NO updates working perfectly and no issues....Windows 11 24H2 October ISO with any of the cumulative updates applied breaks the WIM as follows...VM built, December, January, February or March ISO applied and machine is built. SCCM task seuqnce then capture the WIM for use in our environment. After the capture gemerally the machine com

There are no currently listed problems resetting version 24H2 of Windows 11 and no specific steps you need to perform, are you experiencing any problems with that insider build that is causing you to perform a Windows reset?

I am using a windows 11 VM Based on Hyper V.



while running the image capture wizard received the get the error as below

Creating a Windows 11 (Preview) .WIM to deploy via Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager or MDT - Tech Blog, News, How To's and More.

I followed this to do it a different way. Basically set up your image in hyper-v or which ever, then tell it to do the default sysprep - generalize - shutdown. Then capture the image using winpe. I skipped the step in that link that has you setup the oobe and used a unattend.xml in my osd deployment.

Edit: also skipped step one as I just downloaded the normal windows 11 iso.
