Windows 10: What I need to do to allow windows 11 to install apps that do not belong to the MS Store

How to uninstall an app the MS store says is installed but is not installed?

Hi. I had a game app installed from the MS store called "Warzone 2011" that worked wonderfully until I downloaded and installed the Windows 11 upgrade a couple days ago. After installation, I noticed there was no shortcut icon for the game, to play the game.

So, I went back to the MS store to download the game again, thinking the update must have deleted it, but the store said the game was owned and installed already. I looked at the installed list of apps on the computer but the game app was not listed as being installed.

So, I searched the computer for the Warzone files, and found the file in the oldWindows file. I deleted the game app file, but that did not work because the MS store still says the game is installed. But again, it is not listed in the app list of installed apps on the computer.

I have searched my computer for more Warzone files and could not find any more.

So, how do I uninstall an app that is not installed in my computer?

Apps listed in the Store need to be approved by MS, otherwise you can download/install apps the same as you did on Windows 7. All "Metro" apps though must be installed by using the Store, afaik anyways.

They announce this right after they said weren't going to carry any of it... Ya think some investors told them to stfu and take money? *Laugh :laugh:

I wonder how long it will be before you can't install noncertified apps? The app store is the 1st stepping stone. Although, you'd have to be an idiot to give 30% to these clowns.
