    What is breaking MSTSC language MUI file?


    In the last two months we have had multiple units unable to use Remote Desktop Applications due to a language MUI not being seen. These were fully functional previously so we are assuming its a patch or CU breaking things. I have been asked to dig into why it is happening and hit a wall. The only solution at this time that works is to install the en-UK language pack, remove and readd the en-US pack, then if desired remove the en-UK. This requires multiple reboots and frankly is time consuming and messy. Is there any information on what this is happening to a small percentage of units and what

    Does anyone have access to the English, French and German MUI language packs formerly found on MUI language CAB file - install in Windows 10. The link is now dead.

    • What exactly happens when you try to open the MUI type files?
    • Did you try installing language pack and check?

    From that you could check and compare the content of e.g. the txt reg file which I used as a basis for the above in case I missed something.
