Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro

    Hi Paloma,

On May 17, 2022, I installed Windows 11 on all of my Windows 10 PCs and the process was as all described:

    • Windows 10 to Windows 11
    • Windows 10 Pro to Windows 11 Pro
Installation was flawless on all platforms. Likewise, Windows 11 is performing flawlessly. Kudos to Microsoft for developing and delivering an OS which merits being a replacement for Windows 10.

Thanks to you, Paloma, and all others who provided assistance to me.

    Kindest regards!!

  3. CONNECTED DEVICES PLATFORM USER SERVICE

For some reason, the fan on my CPU is constantly running extremely high. When I check my CPU usage in Task Manager, the problem seems to be with the Connected Devices Platform User Service_48125c.
I was under the impression that this task started with the computer startup, but then turned off. That's obviously not happening here.

What is this problem and how do I fix it?

    Thanks for the help.

Connected Devices Platform Service - What does it do?

On my Windows 10 it was called "CDPUserSvc_1cb43e" and "Connected Devices Platform User Service_1cb43e" what was odd according to process explorer it had used I/O read bytes of 151 Gb! It's doing some kind of reading, and a lot, I just stopped it.

For a comparsion, Google Chrome was second with 11 Gb of reads (which is plausible). But what is CDPUserSvc reading, whole disk?
