I have 16 GB of RAM installed, but my Windows 10 PC is not acting like it!

As you can see in my screenshot, it says I am at 75% memory usage even though the biggest programs are taking up ~3GB. So what is happening to the rest of my RAM?

As you can also see from the screenshot, I ran RamMap to see what the issue and clearly "Nonpaged Pool" is taking up a HUGE chunk of it. But I dont know how to get it to stop.

I don't know if this will help, but I installed this game called "Genshin Impact" about a week ago. Day one it ran fine, next day, my PC was constantly at 100% RAM and sometimes 100% Disk and CPU usage too. So I uninstalled the game, and it improved things slightly. This may just be paranoia, but I know the game uses a Kernel-level anti-cheat program, so I'm wondering if maybe something related to that game's Kernel-level anti-cheat was left behind and is causing all this usage.

    Thank you for your help!

    :)

  2. Something is eating 99% of 16gb RAM

In this case, we suggest monitoring your RAM and Virtual Memory usage to check what programs are using the most memory in your system. To do this, simply follow the steps on this

    Task Manager RAM Usage

My computer is running 64 bit Windows 10 with 6 GB of RAM.

I have been monitoring my memory usage via Task Manager and occasionally download tasklist via the cmd line.

What has been bothering me is that my RAM usage at reboot starts at 34%, and left alone, increases to ~75-80% without running any programs.
(I do have start up programs including McAfee, Dropbox, Seagate console, gadgets, etc.)

When I analyze the tasklist download file via Excel, the total RAM memory usage is approximately 3.1 GB at 79%.
Doing the math, this means there is only 4 GB in use?

    I have 2 questions:

    1. Does Task Manager list all the RAM usage or is there some background usage that is not shown.?

    2. Is there any other way to monitor RAM leakage?
