Windows 10: what is happening with all the popup ads while reading a story or being directed to another...

Over the last couple of weeks i have noticed an increase in pop and redirected ad sites. what is going on?

Edge unusable with most newspaper/news story sites due to reloading every time it sees an ad

Are there any workarounds to this? It's almost not worth trying to read news stories because the moment you scroll down past an ad, the whole page refreshes. (As an example, go to Bing news (or Google news) and click on almost any news site. (Not that
they are any worse or better than the others, but NBC news, CBS, are two that come to mind as good examples. Open a story. Scroll as you read. It'll refresh as you ads move into the visible view.)

I found an old post where the responder blamed the websites (Redirecting). However, that answer is incorrect:
It's only Edge that demonstrates the behavior. Surfy, Opera Mini, etc. do not, but aftermarket browsers have their own lists of other idiosyncracies. It would be nice if the reloading didn't happen.

FYI, here's my summation:

• It does happen on many (most) news paper and news sites and discussion boards where there are ads.
• It happens almost only pages with ads
• It never (very rarely) happens if you go to just a regular old fashioned website without ads
• It's safe in my mind to say, something about the ads causes it.
• It would be nice if this didn't happen

 

Game with the best story, you have played

wasnt aimed at your game theres a few red headed step childs in the lists by people that dont really belong in a best story, the games all have merit but theres very few that should be given best story. theres alot of games here im seeing that just dont hit that mark.
