Windows 10: What is Insyde – HIDClass and how to install if needed?

I use wushowhide to block problem updates, MS loves to try “updating one of my old printers”. Its currently listing “Insyde – HIDClass - 1.19/2017, 12:00:00 AM – 1.4.0.4”.

I am unclear as to what this is and if actually of use how to install it as I can’t find anything like it in device manager even with hidden items showing.

How to install ovi store correctly? What is Qt and its important.My phone model is nokia 5230.

Qt is, so called "middleware" (in a fashion). Namely some user interface and utility libraries originally developed to ease making applications easier to write for multiple operating systems.



Nowadays, Qt is a key component of most Nokia's new applications (such as Store) and must be installed before they can run (Qt can come with the firmware, a firmware update, or the application if it depends on Qt may download and install it - or a newer
version - "on the fly").



In an ideal situation, a phone user shouldn't need or care about Qt, but due to various installation issues, problems with different Qt versions, and upgrading them, one unfortunately is often exposed to it.

 

Insyde is a brand name for a BIOS used in many laptops.

HID Class is "Human Interface Device" and refers to the USB specification.

So my guess is that this is a driver update for one of the USB devices in the laptop.
If it's not a laptop then I got nothing!

 

Hi John, i tried to send you a PM but i don't have enough posts. My laptop has a lot of Wifi problems and i think that my Insyde outdated driver is the main cause of the problem. Could you please send me the 1.4.0.4 driver if i showed you how to make a copy of it?

I had real problems updating the driver. So evetually I disabled it in device manager then asked to update the driver and HEY PRESTO it has updated the driver and once rebooted all good to go.....
