Windows 10: What is Memtest.efi in the Boot Folder

I just checked the Boot folder in C drive > Windows, and although I am familiar with the contents of the folder, I realized I'm not too sure what 'memtest.efi' is actually intended foris this for the built in Windows Memory Diagnostic tool? or is the file used for programs from a USB such as Memtest86 which I do not have, nor use?or is it for something else in relation to Memory? I am on Windows 10, although the function of the efi files are the same across 10 and 11, I imagine

Could you provide us additional information to assist you better with this issue:

• What is the make and model of your device?
• Have you made any changes to the operating system prior to this issue?
• Are you able to boot the device to desktop with this error message?

This issue might have occurred due to corruption in the boot files or BOIS unable to detect your drive to boot.

I didn't say I cannot boot. I can boot all operating systems without any issues.

My Partition layout is clearly mentioned.

Before update, I have only one windows entry listed in my bios menu for choosing operating system.

My problem is after update, I have two windows entries listed in my bios menu. Upon investigating I found that another copy of EFI/Microsoft folder in my Disk1/EFI
