    Sorry if this is an incredibly stupid question, but why are there multiple files that are hidden in my user folder that start with NTUSER? actual screenshot in my folderis it safe to delete these? i'm about to delete them no doubt and i havent made any searches, i'm starting to be afraid that these are files that a virus dropped!!! please help!!! Also i'm planning to do this in a KIOSKUSER0 folder. Dont want the user on my pc. Too lazy to disable it.

    Hi,

    As well as the 3 ntuser files listed, there are 5 ntuser.dat(*****).regtrans-ms files and 2 ntuser,dat(*****).blf files.

    Do I copy those as well or unselect them like the 3 you listed?

    Too many NTUSER.DAT {xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx} files. What to do?

    You may be the exception to prove the rule. I showed you in post #9 that Windows 7 is just as capable of generating these unnecessary extra regtrans/blf files. At least I didn't have as many as this unfortunate user.....
