Windows 10: what is system 32 properties

So what does this do on windows 10 ? and is it needed ?*sarc

On the desktop right-click the This PC icon and select Properties. On the screen that appears, under System type what is listed for your Operating System and processor? Does it say 32-bit Operating System, and are you downloading 64-bit software?

 

32-bit, 64-bit or Both?

Hello,

Using the Windows media creation tool to prep a clean install of Windows 10.

However, ran into this question: What architecture does my system have?

System properties show 64-bit. Duh! But my system is also capable of running 32-bit applications (from my "Program Files (x86)" folder, I imagine).

So, what's my architecture? Is it 64-bit ALONE or BOTH 32-bit and 64-bit?

It tells you this: system size for the this folder and sub components, share status(don't share this folder), security(who can read/write to the files in the folder tree for this folder, previous version (probably none). To the best of my knowledge, it is definitely part of a much needed component of the windows store environment. DON'T MESS WITH ANYTHING IN THE WINDOWS 32 FOLDER UNLESS YOU SURE OF YOUR ACTIONS. A deletion here can cause real serious issues including trashing the Operating System. Warned.

It is basically the highest level 'Library' of the entire 32 bit portion of your operating system. Very much needed if you want a functioning OS!

 

This is the heart of your OS. If you play with it, you'll get a heart attack.

 

All of the system folders are strictly hands off unless you REALLY understand what you are doing. That level of understanding does not come easy.
