    Hello,

I will replace my hdd, which contains my users folder, to a ssd, for go faster.

What is the best way ( aka not losing my locations folders like users/pictures/documents/etc) to do this ?

I was going to do it with a software like easeus todobackup, or aomei backupper, but I fear it will break those locations settings.

    Regards

Cloning Windows from an HDD to an SSD

    Hi Nick

The only real way to do this successfully is clone everything onto the SSD, then boot from that SSD and move your user folders (Documents . . .etc to the HDD

Alternatively, move all your documents to another folder on that HDD, then omit that from the cloning operation, you can then clone the drive, and later link back into those documents in that folder . . .

Cloning Windows from an HDD to an SSD

I'm trying to clone my Windows PC. I have a 220GB SSD installed with a 1 TB HDD. What I'm trying to do is clone Windows and leave my documents and Images etc: on the HDD. When setting up the cloning software I have deleted the "Users" folder from the cloning
operation. I now realise that this means that the user profiles don't get cloned so I can't log on.

So my question is this, how do I clone the user profiles, there are 6 and access my documents on the HDD when I need too?

What is the best way to clone a hdd to ssd, which only contains datas ( but the users folder) ?

    HDD to SSD clone

In general, there is no way to clone 500 GB hard to 240 GB SSD. But if your data on hard drive is less than 240 GB, you can use AOMEI Backupper. This software allows you to clone large hard drive to smaller SSD.
    hope it works for you.
