Windows 10: What is the black rectangle that comes up when you adjust volume in windows 10 and how to...

In Windows 10 everyone knows when you adjust the volume there is a black rectangle that appears, but I'm setting up a new computer and this 'box' doesn't go away fast enough. How can you control that? I'm also sick of the 'news' thing that pops up on the right whenever I boot up, and how can I get rid of that? Overall, too many things pop up, and don't go off the screen.

How to adjust size of volume popup box Windows 10

Hiya! I was wondering if there is any way to change the size of this new box that appears when I adjust the volume on my computer. It comes up when I use the volume keys on my keyboard rather than changing the volume in the taskbar, and I have never seen the extra rectangle before, only the rectangle on the left. If anyone could let me know how to make it smaller or nonexistent, as it is distracting from my work much more than the little volume one used to be. Thanks so much!

Windows 10 - Volume control is at 100; cannot be adjusted at all

A few days ago, a black rectangle appeared on the top left side of the screen. Turns out, it has to do with the volume control.

The sound volume is at 100, and cannot be lowered. I tried trouble-shooting; nothing helped.

Any suggestions?
