Windows 10: what is the differance between windows home 64 bit english and windows home

I have a dell computer 3000 series that has windows home 64 bit and a dell computer 5000 series that has windows home. What's the difference in these two versions.

I have seen many reviews which compare 64-bit vs. 32-bit and there is not much gain to see, unless you use specialized applications.

ATIFlash and 64-bit Windows?

I've tried the last 4 versions of AtiFlash (starting with 386 and working back), and none of them will work on the two different Windows 7 64-bit systems I tried. In all cases I'm told that it's "not the correct version" for the Windows I'm running. The Command window's title changes to "Unsupported 16-bit application." to drive home the point.

I'm pretty sure that (a) it's not actually a 16-bit application and (b) it will run fine under 64-bit Windows...which is what we're all using, right?

I've searched the forums here but can't find anything about this problem. Is there something simple and obvious I'm overlooking?
