Windows 10: What is the difference between genuine windows and volume activated windows?

I have Windows which was the original Microsoft iso activated by the upgrade key typed in while setting up Windows in my new SSD. After some experimenting, I came to know the upgrade key is used by KMSpico to activate Windows illegally. But on my PC there have been no malware attacks. So I want to know the difference between the Windows I use and the genuine Windows activated by buying it.

It seems like that's an OEM windows copy, it will do that the every time you reinstall the OS. If you have the key, next time you see the "not genuine windows copy" click it and choose to activate by phone, everything else is pretty straight forward as it explains step-by-step. If it doesn't work, then its highly likely that you got a Pirate copy.

first make sure the not genuine warning is an actual microsoft warning and not some trojan crap

next try to activate, look if she received any keys with the pc

if you are sure windows is not genuine and she was sold a pc including windows, contact the retailer and give them a chance to fix it.

finally contact microsoft and tell them about that bad bad person who's selling pcs with pirated windows *Wink
