  1. What is the Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller folder? Why do I see 0 kb files of Python in them?

    Hello, I was looking around my computer after I updated it to Windows 11 and found this folder called Microsoft.DesktopAppInstaller which contained 0 kb files of python, python3, and winget, which is confusing because I don't have Python installed on this computer. They're also located in a folder called WindowsApp, along with a bunch of other 0kb files which have apps such as MSPaint, Notepad, Skype, etc. Can anyone tell me why I have these 0kb files in this folder even though I don't have Python installed?

    :)

  3. 0 kb files lingering around on my computer

    Hi all,
    2 months ago I did a clean reinstall of my computer and I found that there are still 0 kb files of python and python3 lingering around on my computer even after I had already uninstalled the program and wiped my PC. It won't let me delete them as they give me an error saying that the file could not be read. How do I get rid of these files? Does it even matter if they stay on my SSD?

    Python, there a metacharacter for the statement to match anything?

    I want this python script to open a txt file which will likely have a changing timestamp as a name. so ultimately id like:

    file= open('*.txt', 'r')

    to work, but it doesnt, cause it looks at * as a character.

    Any suggestions
