What is the nicest free, adfree archiver tool?

I just returned to Windows after a decade of Mac, having bought my New Surface Book yesterday. But now I\ve had several bad experiences in a row trying to find a Nice archiver tool in the Store.

I tried stuff like Openrar and many others. Only to find out that pretty much everyone of them is filled With spam.

Im using 7-zip right now. But it is really not optimized for Windows 10 at all. It looks more like was made for Windows XP.

On a sidenote 8-zip looks Nice but I would never pay for something like this.

    :)

n85 uk generic product code 0572869 still on v11

What is going on with this firmware, Nokia have seemed to completely ignore any development with the N85. It's a shame as it's one of the nicest handsets I've had since I started with Nokia some ten or so years ago.

I got this phone on what I thought was a sim free unlocked deal, no brand on the phone. I thought, therefore, that I'd have the newest firmware, boy was I wrong!

Come on Nokia, sort it out!

    What is archiving?

Windows Live Mail has been deprecated. The link provided is for Outlook. I'm using the Mail app.

So you do not care about functionality, you just want a nice GUI, right?

Try PeaZip | Free archiver, free RAR TAR ZIP files utility

That UI was not so nice.... Why are so many people stuck in the Windows XP look?

I found one that is simple and nice, but it doesnt work: Vuze Leap.

I rarely ever use anything other than Zip archives and as they are built into the Windows 10 UI there is no issue about the obsolete look. For the odd occasion where I do need to open or create other formats I just use the 7-Zip interface

    This is Surreal!

Vuze leap is a Bittorrent client, no wonder it does not work as an archiver.

As an Ex Mac user, the OP needs to discover the Right-click maneuver!
