  1. What is the overview of workflow if i use reserved HID code and Virtual OEM key for my...

Hi,- I am making a HID keyboard in large scale which includes some new keys, so i am planning to use reserved HID code for that and reserved virtual key for that, but i am not aware of the flow its work, like from keyboard i will only send HID code or a HID Report, now who convert's that HID code to Scan Code? I know that Scan codes are mapped with virtual keys in Layout.- Do i need to use Random Scan codes for my keys?- Which Filter driver should i need to use HID filter driver or PS/2 filter driver?- Should i need to map scan codes to HID codes in Filter driver?- Can anyone Help me to solve

    :)

  3. HID-compliant mouse. Device Status:This device cannot start. (Code 10)

Have you tried updating the driver for the HID-compliant mouse?

Follow these steps on how to update the driver:

To do this, follow these steps:

    • In Device Manager, click the Driver tab in the device's Properties dialog box.
    • Click Update Driver to start the Hardware Update Wizard.
    • Follow the instructions to update the driver.
If that does not work, we suggest you contact the manufacturer of your laptop directly and ask for updated drivers for Windows 10.

    Regards.

Move OEM Window 10 key to virtual machine

I recently bought a Lenovo laptop from a 3rd party reseller. There are no Windows disks or hard-copy product keys

It came with Windows 10 Professional, OEM_DM channel

Running the command slmgr.vbs -dlv give information on the license, including the installation ID and activation ID.

    I want to:

Install windows as a virtual machine under virtualBox hosted by Linux.

My question is whether Windows can work out that it is still on the same physical machine, even when running on a Linux-hosted virtual machine. It's probably a common workflow for people who get a new machine with OEM Windows, who then want to run Linux
    as their primary OS.

    Possible solution:

This support document describes a procedure for re-activating windows after major hardware changes (like motherboards). It requires linking a digital license to a Microsoft account: Reactivating Windows after a hardware change - Microsoft Support

I will try that, and if it doesn't work I'll revert to dual-boot. I would prefer the virtual machine. 90% of my use is in Linux, only use Windows right now because Zoom has a much better windows client.

    Thank you.
