Windows 10: What is the significance of copying address and copying address as text

It should not get pasted twice.

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community.

Based on issue description, it seems that the options of right click on Address bar has been changed. I will certainly help you.

Windows 10 has the default options of right click on Address Bar same and no changes are made. Similarly different options are enlisted when you right click on other folders.

'Copy Address' and 'Copy Address as Text' options are not included on Address Bar when right clicked by default.

old email addresses

Here is the step to remove that old email address.

Start typing an email address into the “To” field. As soon as you see the old email address being recommended as one of the potential candidates, use the down arrow key to scroll through the list of suggestions. Once you highlight the old email address, type the delete key. In many cases, this will actually remove the entry not only from the current list of suggestions but from future suggestions as well. You may even find that as you mouse over the drop-down list the highlighted item will have an “x” to explicitly allow you to delete it.

Just do this step and your good to go.

Copy / Paste from Edge Address Bar Question


It works in Edge exactly as it works in other browsers (possible exception: never used FF, don't know about that): you click on address bar, the URL is automatically selected and you can copy it. If you unselect the URL and right click, you cannot copy it.
