What Is The Status Of Getting The "We Need To Fix Your Account" Message Fixed

I along with many other users are getting so sick and tired of getting that aggravating and annoying push notification that something is wrong with our accounts and it needs to be fixed. You click on the message and every time it takes you to that needless "Shared Experiences" in settings where you have to enter your MS account password and I even have every thing there disabled. There has been numerous bug reports submitted through the "Feedback Hub" by many users about this and numerous posts about it here and other forums. There has been one and only one response from a MS engineer on one of these bug reports. I would like you to pay attention to the submission time at the bottom as it was a submission sent out 10 months ago. I would also like you to pay attention to the Build mentioned in the response which is Build 18995. Now what build are we using? It is Build 19041.388. They must think we are all stupid.

So basically this problem is still going on since Version 2004 was sent out to users on June 9th. Has Microsoft responded in any way to it's users about this annoying and aggravating problem that still persists today? NO with the exception of the 10 month old copy and paste response above talking about a build no longer in use that was sent out trying to appease the users. Has Microsoft once given an explanation as to why this is happening since updating to Version 2004? No! Has Microsoft told us they are working on this and when a fix will be deployed? NO! Do we know if this will be a standard thing that we will have to do from now on? NO! If any of the questions has an answer of yes then please link us to where it is so we can read it.

All you could hear was that Microsoft wanted all the users to have a "smooth experience" with the new Version 2004 but it is now become a "fecal impaction" causing a big pain in the *** with this aggravating annoyance of having to "fix our accounts" at every turn.

    Regards

    :)

What means "We need to fix your Microsoft account"??

    Thanks for letting us know.

If the issue only persists on your main admin account, there is a high probability that it has a corrupted user profile. In this case, we suggest
creating another administrator account. Then, copy
your files to the new user profile.

Here are the complete steps on how to transfer data from one user profile to another:

    1. Log on as a user other than the new user you just created or the user that you want to copy files from. (Note: You need to sign in as an administrator to access other user accounts and copy files.)

    2. Open the My Documents folder by clicking the Start button, and then click Computer. Double-click the hard disk drive where Windows is installed (it's usually your C: drive), then
    double-click Users.

    3. Open the corrupted user account folder.

    4. Click the View tab, and then click Show hidden files, folders, and drives.

    5. Copy your files to the new user profile that you just created. Select all the files and folders that you need, except the following files:

      • Ntuser.dat
      • Ntuser.dat.log
      • Ntuser.ini
    6. Once you have copied all the files, log off.

    7. Log back in as the new user.

If you have email messages in an e-mail program, you must import your email messages and addresses to the new user profile before you delete the old one. If everything is working properly, you can delete the old profile.

Should you have any other concerns, don’t hesitate to let us know.

  3. We need to fix your [non-extant] Microsoft account

The following notification pops up every time I log in: "We need to fix your Microsoft account (most likely your password has changed). Select here to fix it in Shared experiences settings."

When I click on the link, a defunct account appears. This account was deleted so many years ago I forgot about it, so there is no fixing it. This is obviously not my actual Microsoft account which works just fine.

Any suggestions on getting the erroneous notification to cease?
