    Just starting up a new Dell XPS 8950 running Win 11 Pro. I can't get it to connect to my other computers. I have tried several versions but none of these worked. I need to make several computers connect for file sharing.The computers are other computers are 3 running Win 11 Pro and 1 Running win 10 pro. All of these 4 connect to and from each other.

    network issues, unable to enter network credentials


    I upgraded two desktops to Win 10 (one from Win 7 and one from Win 8.1). I have issues with setting up a network.

    First, I tried to set up a homegroup and I failed (i already posted another question on this subject with no luck so far). OK, forget about the homegroup, lets do it without it.

    At this point, desktop A can see shared folders and a printer on desktop B - I did have to enter network credentials. Desktop B however cannot. It can see the desktop A under Network but when I click on it, it is asking to Enter network credential to connect to A. When I do that, it says that the user name or password is incorrect (and I am using the same user name and password that I use on desktop A to log on). What am I missing?

    Both computers are on the same Workgroup "WORKGROUP". BTW - and I am not sure if that is relevant - when I try to enter credentials on desktop B and it is asking for User name and Password, just below it says "Domain: " - is my logging name.

    Thanks for any suggestion.

    How do I find network credentials user name and password?

    The question was "Where do I find my network credentials?".

    The app is asking for a user name and password in a very generalized way. Not even showing the correct syntax to enter it.

    So I assume there is no way to find your network credentials and in order to use network devices they must not be password protected.

    Please tell me if I'm wrong.

    How do I find network credentials user name and password?

    After looking all over for the answer to this question I found this suggestion from Scott. It worked!!

    The confusing part of this, to me, was it appeared that the "enter network credentials" box was asking for a user name, but it actually is asking for the computer name. When I hit "more choices" and hit "use a different account" (<-also confusing when it
    uses the word account) and put the name of the computer where it said "User Name" and the password for my account on the other computer, it worked. Thank You so much ScottMcKirahan
