Windows 10: What is the Windows 11 recovery concept for hardware failure? What can I do preventatively?

My understanding of how Windows OS licensing works is limited - please consider that. But I have worked with computers in an amateur capacity for almost 35 years. In the past, purchases with PCs always came with an OEM version of Windows on a CD. However, the concept has changed over the years and now we have computers that have Windows installed on computers and we do not get a hard copy of the OS. Correct me if I'm wrong, but when a hardware failure occurs in most components, you can simply replace the malfunctioning peripheral and Windows will detect and accept the changes. This is not the

Failure to apply update due to recovery partition issue?

My suggestion would be to:

1) Disable WinRE

2) Delete partitions 4 and 5.

3) Extend the C drive to utilize the unallocated space (minus 750 MB)

4) Create a Recovery partition in that 750 MB unallocated space.

Step 1:

To disable WinRE, run:

• reagentc /disable
  

Next, check if winre.wim has been moved to the c:\windows\system32\Recovery folder. To do so, run:

• dir c:\windows\system32\Recovery /a
  

Please post the outputs.

 

Data Recovery for Mac (OSX Capitan) ?

Anybody knows of a good data recovery software for mac? Preferably free?

I use Active@ Data Recovery for Windows, but honestly no idea what to use for Mac OSX.

Any suggestions?
