Windows 10: What is this? And why is this always pops up whenever I entered the username and password...

My university has a WiFi that's connected to each student's school email and password. But whenever I entered the username and password the school provided it always this that shows up. And it frustrates me because all of my friends don't have the same issue as me.

Can't enter username or password when a new window pops up

Hi,

After updating to Windows 10, I have had a problem with entering anything in pop up windows requiring passwords or usernames.

Such as skype, so any window that pops up requesting I enter values into the empty spaces, my computer just won't allow me to type anything in the boxes.

As you can see I can type fine on websites and what not. My only problem is when an application requires I enter a password or username, it's like my browser stops working and I can't do anything about it!

Live mail asks for login creds then gives following error:Unable to dend/receive mail for XXXX. An incorrect password was entered.

you are getting the error 0x800CCC92 in Windows Live Mail because the password you had entered is not correct. Or, in other words, the password provided to the email client does not match the account username.

To solve the Windows Live Mail error 0x800CCC92, you have to double check both the password and the user ID (username) you had supplied when the email account was set up. Please understand that in order to access your email account successfully,
the login information has to be correct.

I suggest you to follow the below steps and check if it helps.

• Start the Windows Live Mail email client.
• Click "Tools" from the top menu and choose "Accounts".
• A pop up will be displayed showing you all the email accounts in Windows Live Mail. Select the one that's giving you the error and then click the "Properties" button.
• Another pop up window shows all the settings associated with this account.
• Under the "Servers" tab double check the "E-mail username" and "Password". One of them would definitely be incorrect which is resulting in the Windows Live Mail error ID 0x800CCC92.
• To avoid having to enter the username and password each time, check the box in front of "Remember password".
• Once you make appropriate changes, click the "Apply" button followed by "OK". Close the other pop-up window.

How do you set up a password in Windows 10, if you have never used one?

You should be able to click Change, leave the "Old Password" empty (blank) and put in a new password in the two bottom boxes.

If that doesn't work, I would suggest this alternative instead:

• Open Command Prompt
• Type echo %username% and press Enter (this will reveal your true username on the next line)
• Type the following and press Enter to change the password to
  
  net user alanrosenbaum NewPassword!
  
  Replace "alanrosenbaum" with whatever username you got in step 2.
  
  Replace "NewPassword!" with whatever you want your password to actually become.
