  1. What is User.exe and why is it using all of my CPU?

I recently noticed my laptop working a lot harder than usual. Upon viewing my system information stats I could see that my computer was idling at 99% usage of my CPU. I sorted through my background processes and found a particular "verma.exe" to be quite peculiar. My username is verma, so I'm sure this is where the name comes from. I terminated this process and my GPU returned to idling at 0%. But after each startup it starts eating p my CPU again.

I found this file in C:\Users\verma\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and am considering deleting it.

I also found in the properties that it was installed yesterday but I bought my laptop almost a month ago.

    :)

Current active users that are friends

The other reason I suggested this is that users can add characters to their username that are not alphanumeric (e.g. user*). This confuses things somewhat when looking at the list.

    INCORRECT CPU FREQUENCY READING

    Hello Muhammad,

CPU usage depends on the applications that are open to your device. To isolate the problem, we suggest that you answer the following questions:

    • Can you include a screenshot of the CPU reading?
    • Have you tried performing a
      clean boot
      to eliminate software conflicts?
    • What troubleshooting steps have you done so far?

    Looking forward to your response.
