    What is Windows Hello - Windows 10


    Several times yesterday, there was a message on my sign-in screen asking if I wanted to sign in to Windows Hello. I got rid of it by restarting each time.


    This morning though restarting would not work, so I had no option other than to enter my password to sign in.


    What happened next was that I got my normal screens, so what is Windows Hello and should something different have happened next?


    Also have there been any announcements/articles to tell us what Windows Hello is all about? Someone at Microsoft seems to have forgotten (yet again) that we are paying customers and so deserve better that the Mushrooms Business Method.


    Again, would a Moderator move this to a more relevant Topic etc if appropriate. please. TIA


    Updated 30-3 at 22:38. Moved to correct Forum as auto-router appears not to have worked. Will catch up/update tomorrow

    Windows 10 Tweaks

    Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

    Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
