Windows 10: What is wrong with my keyboards's connection to the laptop

My keyboard except the power button, touchpad, and fingerprint scanner do not register on my screen display and also don't light up or show any sign that the keys have been touched. I was able to run a component and system tests after repeatedly pressing escape but that didn't seem to work. I also resetted the BIOS but that also was useless. The model is an hp envy x360 convertible 15-ed0008ca. During the bios and system/components tests, there were signs of recognition such as the caps lock button showing white whenever I pressed it, however as soon as I exit the mode, it goes back to the o
