Windows 10: What is wrong with the People App?

The People App wont open after I tried "new outlook" and then returned to Mail? It opens momentarily but closes. Obviously I want to recover my contacts.

Reset People app suggestions in Taskbar

If you look at the image below, you would know the contact suggestion has one suggestion which I really don’t need. The suggestions are based on the frequency of conversations over services like Skype, Mail, etc. While there is no direct way to remove either
one of them or all of them, there is definitely a nuke button to get rid of all of them and start fresh.

To get rid of all the wrong suggestions, follow the steps below:

Go to Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.

Look for People app in the list of apps that are shown here.

Select, and click Advanced Options.

In the next screen, scroll to find the option which says “Reset“.

Click on the Reset button to clear all the suggestions.

Open People App from the Taskbar, and you will not see any suggestions.

The reset option is to be used only when the app fails to work properly. The app will be internally reinstalled and revert it to default settings.

Any data or document will be not lost. So when I did a reset of the people app, my contact list was intact.

Contacts not showing in People app on Windows 10 (PC and mobile) and Outlook app (iPad)

All my contacts from my Outlook.com account are not showing in the People app (mobile and PC) and not showing in the Outlook app on my iPad. Until 2 weeks ago they where in the People app (and iPad). I didn't change any settings. I still can see the contacts
in Outlook 2016 and online in Outlook.com.

I also have an Office 365 account and all the contacts from that account are still visible in the People app.

I already tried these steps:

• I removed my Outlook.com account from my phone and PC and reinstalled it.
• I checked the filter in the People app (Settings > Filter contact list).
• Looked at Outlook.com but can't find any settings that are wrong

I think the problem is in Outlook.com because I can't see the contacts on any device.

Any suggestions.
