Windows 10: What motherboard do I have guys? does it support 4k?

Hey, I'm not at my pc atm but need to know this urgently. I want to know if my motherboard supports HDMI for a 4k screen.

it says i need an email program? were do i get it from?

I Have ms-7759 z77 motherboard and i have a problem with usb ports

the problem is simple.even thoughe that everything looks fine in device manager.Usb 3.0 Ports don't work.

in previous windows version i have intel Usb 3.0 driver for my Intel@z77 usb 3.0 chipset. but that software does

not support windowx 10 it said the the system does not meet the minimum Requierment.

in device manager i have your USB 3.0 eXtessible host controler - 1.0 (microsoft) but it does not help.

no matter what i connect to my usb 3.0 ports it does not help.

and as i mentioned earlier i have checked with intel and msi and recived a reply from intel that

you are about to release an update for that.

Yea I know that one, however is it possible to know through the zip info I provided above to discover the motherboard?

 

Any idea the Make/Model of the GTX 580 GPU ???

ADDED: The MOBO is ASUS model unk. Think the problem would be the GPU?

 

All I could see is that your motherboard is made by ASUSTeK ......your info does not show which model at all. AsusTek makes very good motherboards thou. I still would run Speccy.

 

Ok when I get home what do I need to check on the asus website in terms of specs for my type of motherboard to know I can handle a 4k display? Is my GPU good enough as well?

 

You can enter your bios and find which model you have if you don't want to use Speccy ....Speccy would be easier .... and give you more information about your GPU ....is this a laptop or desktop pc ....

F2 or use your Delete key to enter bios at bootup.

 

When you get home and run Speccy as Mike suggested you'll know exactly what you have. The Specs for 4K TV are: 4K resolution - Wikipedia

*Some Models "May" be able to get higher custom resolutions with the newest drivers, but I wouldn't count on it.

 

Yeah looking at his bios date and GPU card, highly doubtful that he has support for 4k resolution.

I'd have to do some serious upgrades myself If I wanted to watch 4K TV or Game with DX12 *Sad Guess I'll stick with 1080p and DX11 for a while.

Depends on what size you want, 24",26" 27" .....size will affect your price. Any 1920x1080 LED would work for you.

That's a 7 year old MOBO, the MOBO itself has no video output, but a newish added Graphics Card will if it supports the resolution and with HDMI 2 and/or DisplayPort connection.
You will have to look up your Graphics Card.
