Windows 10: What Product & Software Do I Use For Locking File/Folder With Fingerprint. Windows 11 PC

What Product & Software Is Being Provided For Locking Files/Folders With Fingerprint For Windows 10 - 11 PC? I have already seen others who suggested Toshiba Fingerprint Utility BUT it is useless since it WILL NOT work on anything higher than Windows 8.I downloaded and installed their latest driver which was for 2015-2016 but it would not launch even after troubleshooting the problem.I have also looked at the other suggestion of EzFinger Fingerprint USB Reader for Windows Hello, File encryption, and Folder Lock but I IMMEDIATELY ran away from it as the NUMEROUS 1 - 3 star reviews made it

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

• Open a new Explorer window.
• Click View in the ribbon.
• Click Options.
• Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
• Click OK

Lock file in windows 11 with fingerprint

If you have a Toshiba Dynabook,you could use Toshiba Fingerprint Utility relesed in 2016 - not sure if the support is still available.

Otherwise, you are kinda out of luck, I have yet come across any such application that allows the use of the fingerprint sensor for securing a folder.

However, if you’re using Windows 11 Pro, you can encrypt files directly within Windows.

To lock a folder in Windows 11 Pro using encryption:

Open File Explorer and navigate to the folder that you want to lock.

Right-click on the folder and select Properties.

Under the General tab, click Advanced.

At the bottom of the window, check Encrypt Content To Secure Data.

Click OK.

Click Apply to apply your changes.

Hope that works for you.

If that is not the case, please kindly attach a screen-shot of the issue so we could work towards resolving it.

Folder locked and dissapeared after unlock

Well here's something i found on this:

Lost my files in Folder Lock

But it doesn't work here , i don't have that folder.

Can somebody help me searching for a solution , tnx.

EDIT:

I did that and that's when the folder just disappeared but the data is still there, the program is very confusing about restoring files , it says that "files should become unlocked automatically" ... so where the heck are manual unlocking instructions.

It's not an encrypt , it's just a password lock , so data is all open. The problem is, i would get like 225 GB of individual files off the HDD recovery , i just want the harder way of accessing the folder but getting the folder structure , where can i find the time to SORT 220 GB of data omg.
