Windows 10: What Senior can afford a new computer, where was this declared when Microsoft installed...

As a Senior, I cannot afford to just go out and get a new computer, especially with the price of everything out of control, Where was it agreed to that this would be the result of letting Microsoft install Windows 10 onto everyone's computer. This is so far removed from Microsofts origins that it is truly embarassing for them. How dare you, first you nullify all id software codes so Windows 7 won't be accepted from origional disks even though the agreement in writing with the disk declares you have 3 installs. What about the people that don't need or want all the bells and whistles that will n

Win 10 and Seniors

I can't agree with the idea that seniors are not a tech savvy generation. Why not? A senior is just as intelligent as a younger person. And a young person can be just as computer-illiterate as an older person.

The most valuable skill that a computer user of any age needs to have is the ability to backup. With regular backups, computer problems are an inconvenience but never a crisis.

With Windows 10 in particular, computer users of all ages need to learn how to avoid being upgraded to Windows 10. This knowledge is available on the web for you to teach. For most people, installing the GWX Control Panel or Never10 ends that problem for
good.

So the one-two solution to avoid getting stuck with Windows 10 is:

• Restore a backup from before the upgrade.
• Install the utility to avoid the upgrade.

It's time for seniors to stop convincing themselves - or letting other people convince them - that they're too old to learn.

 

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

I am a senior citizen and cannot afford to buy a new computer, why am I being FORCED to upgrade my computer to a new one?

i cannot buy a new computer i am a senior and will not be able to buy a new computer just because it will be 2025 ...so how are you going to tell millions if not more of us that we have to when we are hanging on by a thread now...are you all going to give us new computers because that is the only way this can happen ...and buy the way my phone in my remote area will not work without service through a computer are you going to bring us to a edge of danger because then we will not have phones either ? remember there are more households that are poor financially than your menial need to upgrade and prevent not only seniors but households of kids who need this for their schools...and then by the way what about the schools they are not able just to upgrade to new computers either many of them need what they have everywhere ...there is no reality in this at all ..you are causing a dumbing of America once again endangering youth to not have access to education ...this is so unreal ////
