    What setting can I change to alter the sleep time from idle on logon screen?


    If I wanted my desktop to sleep automatically after a few minutes if a user doesn't login in windows 10, which setting can I alter? Is it just the standard sleep after 'x' minute toggle or is there something different I can use for the login screen? Running latest stable Windows 10 version.

    Nokia 6350 How to alter screen save/idle mode/sleep mode/timeout

    My wife's new Nokia 6350 seems to work great for about the first three minutes of each voice call. After that, the screen dims, and quickly after that the call is often dropped. Someone suggested there must be something such as an idle mode, or a screensaver,
    or a timeout setting, which could alter this behavior. I've searched all through the user's guide and the menus under "settings", to no avail. Please someone advise me how to access the correct setting to change this, if at all possible!! Thanks sincerely!

    Thanks for following the steps. Now, the settings won't take effect if you are only using normal PC idle mode. Normal functionality of Bluetooth and Wi-Fi settings are to stay connected even if PC is idle. With the settings that you have created, we would
    suggest that you set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or
    Hibernate     once idle. In this way, the settings "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" should take effect.

    To set your PC to automatically go to Sleep or Hibernate when idle, please follow these steps:

    • Open Control Panel, set view by: Small
      icons.
    • Look for Power Options.
    • Click on Change when the computer sleeps on the left pane.
    • Set a timer.

    I have set my screensaver to start after 7 minutes and my display to sleep after 15 minutes. The "on resume display logon screen" box is unchecked. Regardless, since the May 1903 update the logon screen appears when I resume. This is not the end of the
    world serious but is irritating since I'm lazy and a terrible typist. Any suggestions? Thanks!
