What should I do if Windows 10 performs a Disk Check at every boot and load in just fine?

A few nights ago while I was chatting with friends over discord, my whole computer froze out of nowhere. After performing a force shutdown, I restarted my pc and was prompted with "To skip disk checking, press any key within # seconds" during startup. Then "Scanning and repairing C:" pops up and boots in Windows 10 as normal. I've already tried repairing my C: drive through the tools tab on file explorer and control panel but it still checks for repairs. I've been trying to run chkdsk commands into my command prompt as an administrator but nothing seems to fix my problem. Is it fine if I le

  2. Performing Dual boot on the computer (Windows 10 and windows xp).

    Hi Vaibhav,

You will not face any system performance issues on performing dual boot by loading older Windows version first (Windows XP) and then the latest Windows version (Windows 10) on the computer.

To perform dual boot on the computer, you first have to create partitions to load both the OS onto the drives. Create disk partition by following the steps below and perform dual boot on the computer.

    • Press Windows logo + R keys on the keyboard to open
Run command, type diskmgmt.msc and press
      Enter.

    • Right click on OS(CWhat should I do if Windows 10 performs a Disk Check at every boot and load in just fine? :) hard drive and select
      Shrink Volume.

    • Allocate the disk space in MB and click on
Shrink. An Unallocated drive will be created.

    • Right click on the Unallocated drive and select
New Simple Volume option. Follow the onscreen instructions and provide a drive name/letter in the process.

    • Perform dual boot and check if the issue is resolved on the computer.

Write to us with the status of performing dual boot on the computer in the same post for further assistance. Your reply is most important for us to ensure we assist you accordingly.

    Thank you.

  3. Checking Disk Consistency

Ok i did as viper suggested, but it stops checking at stage 3. It is still saying the drive is dirty, and still needs to be checked. I did a defrag and a disk cleanup, and suggestions?

    Disk Check Issue?

I'm having the Disk Check issue again. However, this time, I can't use Startup Repair to fix it. Can you address this?
