Windows 10: What SSD are you guys using and how many seconds to load your destop

Which SSD are you guys using and how much of a speed increase has it given your boot times.

I bought a Samsung 850 Evo 256Gb, it takes about 10 seconds to boot to the lock screen. I am still in awe about how much faster they are.

lost a computer because windows 10?

I download windows 10 in the day was released

I encounter many hardware issues just after finish to install it

from hardware failures to computer overeating.

The first thing I notice when I was troubleshooting the problems

is that the windows 10 had interact with my BIOS

that totally explain the hardware failures and the computer overeating.!!

and that also open the possibility that microsoft is rewriting your BIOS Chip codes

because that is the best way to take a full control of your computer..!!

also common knows as BIOS CHIP Malware

However

in the end I fix everything with a total cost of $250 just for the parts I need to replace

then I roll back to windows 7 and when the latest windows 10 build was released

I was stupid enough to try again but I went fast back to windows 7 again

I have no problems until 2 days ago

without warning my computer shut itself down

I guess the BIOS CHIP Malware had take effect..!!!

and I couldn't do anything to get back on the desktop

any tentative to repair or even re-install windows 7 had fail

I basically end up with a dead motherboard

and all that happen because I upgrade to windows 10

so now I'm wondering how many of you people

end up with a dead computer because windows 10?

the only reason to why I don't try a lawsuit against microsoft

for damaging my computer with windows 10

is because my computer was 10 years old

and I was already planning to build a new gaming rig even before windows 10 show up

I'm glad I try windows 10 on my old computer

because now I know

that there is not fk way I'm going to install windows 10 in my new motherboard

so I don't even bother with a lawsuit..!! at least for now

but I will keep my dead motherboard for possible future forensic analysis

just in case some lawyer come along and offering a compensation for what microsoft did

because I did a quick research in online

I notice that there are many people with a new or old computer

who end up with a dead computer after upgrading

so I can see a possible lawsuit against microsoft because that in the near future..!!

because you try to figure it out

if you should upgrade to windows 10

you go ahead but get ready to end up with a dead computer

especially if you're going to install windows 10 into a 2006 computer.!!

What are you guys doing to come up in market

Hey guys I appreciate the good work that you are doing

I like the unique UI that you give to us.

you might be doing some great stuffs in back end to make the OS more popular than it is right now

but to keep the customers interested in the OS you can come up with press releases in monthly or quarterly basis.

So that the customers look forward for those updates, and manufacturers can work accordingly



I would like to point out few things that you can do make the OS more popular

MINOR update that you can do is about FILE MANAGEMENT

every WP user would agree wait why only WP user even other OS users know this weak link

If you could provide a efficient FILE MANAGEMENT the way you guys want that might itself increase the sale by up to 10%



another would be a MAJOR update that is about APPS

whatever you guys can do to increase no. of apps am not talking about any droid stuffs

but the way you guys have handled the store in similar fashion if you could increase the count of apps it would be GREAT !!!

about the latest happening in the industry

Samsung 850 Evo 120Gb, it takes 9 seconds to boot to desktop
bios boot legacy, no Magician Software

 

I got the older Samsung 840 Evo, cold boot (not from hibernation) to desktop is around 26sec.
I heard how good 850s are. I will get one soon.

 

I too just purchased the 850 Evo, mine is a 500GB. I haven't timed it explicitly, but it's probably less than 10 seconds. I have tuned my UEFI firmware to boot extremely fast, and I've used the Samsung Magician to optimize the drive for performance.

You can do some test in Magician that are quite enlightening. IOPS (I/O Operations Per Second) on my SSD were 15x the regular drives, and the read/write performance was 2-3x. You really gain, however, in loss of seek latency.

I think I have a clash between the gold theme on 10135 and the blue theme on 10130!
No wonder Windows can't save my themes, it doesn't know what the hell to do with them!!! *Biggrin
