    What the hell did Microsoft Support do to my laptop?


    I have a relatively new laptop, bought it less than 3 months back. I take good care of my laptop but recently a few issues popped up that irked me so I figured, why not ask Microsoft, aye?The brightness adjustment using FN+F7 wasn't working, the cursor would occasionally freeze when using the touchpad. I figured it wouldn't hurt.But after letting support take remote control of my laptop, a display driver was deleted which led to a complete black screen and now I am unable to do anything despite the keyboard being responsive. I went to them for a small issue and now they've created an even BIGG

    That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

    At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

    I checked gigabyte's site on my GA-M57 and it didn't say anything about b3 stepping update, but all of the x3 chips are b3 steppings, so just use the x3 support bios if available.
