What to do if when i try to select anything blue outline not

the highlighter is showing grey outline and no blue?

what?. before it started i had MORE then 12 items on my desktop and it was still showing blue outline and blue inside

 

Click and Drag -Selection shows white outlines instead of a blue box

I've recently done some registry editing and messed some things up. I got almost everything back to normal, except my click and drag selection not shows only white outlines instead of a blue box like before. Can you help me?

Selecting desktop gives a white outlined box instead of blue transparent box

When selecting items on the desktop, it is simple white outlined box. I remember it being a blue transparent box. I'm no longer sure is it blue??? Selecting items though file explorer gives a bluish box. How can I change it back to normal?

When selecting with the pointer, I get the following white outlined box:



Any thoughts?
