Windows 10: What to do if your completely logged out of your computer?

I’m a college student and I have a Surface laptop 2. I had face recognition and my pin set up. Today when I tried to login, it took me straight to my password login for some reason. I don’t remember what my password is or the security question. I don’t know what to do but I need my laptop for classes.

Hi dalchina. Good news, I followed your suggestion and reinstalled the update and now it appears as "installed correctly" *Biggrin Maybe it was not necessary to run the Windows Update Troubleshooter or maybe if necessary. But using it I do not think it could have worsened something. The installation was very fast, unlike the first time it showed step 1 and step 2 completed.

Also, I think its better to learn about computer parts and everything, and then pick out your own stuff. Then, not only do you know for sure that you have the best deal you can get for the moneys, but you have the unalienable right to knowledge.

Do you realize that wish lists are not stored as a dedicated website, but logged as temporary data in your browser?

All of the links you've posted lead to nothing. This is the reason other people post screen shots, rather than linking to a wish list.

Just so we are all on the same page; the OP is new to the forum, has not filled out any information, doesn't know about the sockets, and has basically drive-by-posted given that they have had 0 responses. All of this means we cannot conjecture on where they live ( US has dollars, Australia has dollars, and the OP could have converted from local currency). Thus, no conjecture on pricing, or available services. No concrete info means no concrete suggestions, as my generic guide should have suggested to anyone reading the previous posts.
