Windows 10: What to do with One Drive ?

Since I made the switch to W10, I never cared much about one drive. I knew it existed, I saw it being used when I went from my PC to my laptop, bringing back some of my Steam saves from one to the other, and stuff like that. But I didn't personally see a real use to it, as I save everything on external HDDs.

So anyway, here we are, some years after the switch was made. And my computer is telling me now that it can't save on One Drive anymore because my storage is full. Which I don't care, because I don't use it. BUT. I now receive a lot of messages, anytime I try to save a new file on my computer. The first time I tried saving a Word file, it took quite some time before telling me that it was impossible as my Drive was full. Even though I still found it on my Desktop, as I wanted to save it. Even stranger, Word is telling me that it can save a "copy" of my file on my computer. As if my PC was the secondary storage and One Drive was the first. That's insane !

I remember a few months ago, I tried getting rid of it and deactivated it. Strangely, it came back without me even realising it because I definitly didn't switch it on again. And it's starting to bother me again. I don't care about One Drive, and now it's telling me that I should do something to make it work when I didn't even ask for this feature. even, I don't want the feature. So here is my question : what do you do with your One Drive ?

- When you set a destination in drive, you should be able to set an address which is existing in the contact list

- You should be able to view all step by step navigations. right now you are not able to see complete direction steps.

I'd like to wait until you reply to my question in Scrsht 12, if it is a remnant of the process try deleting the one on the dsktp and see if the one in send to also disappears. If it stays in send to, test it, and if you're still having problems I'd suggest you could go back to: Option One: To Add or Remove Items in Send To context menu for Your Account (current user) and do Step 3 to remove it and start over using Step 4 but be very careful of your steps in creating the shortcut and be sure you d&d that shortcut to the send to part of the address.
