Windows 10: What versions of Windows support read-only UDF file systems on USB SSDs?

Need to read the file modification/creation date & time of UDF file system

I have some DVDs with loads of pictures and I want to be able to get a list of file names, dates & times using C or C++ API calls.

Apparently the DVD is written using the UDF file system and even the Win 10 File Explorer does not show the date & time.

1) why does Win 10 not display the UDF times

2) what library or API calls will allow me to read that information

Running the latest Win 10 update & trying to use MSVC 2019

I'm a RED camera owner and they have ssd's to record media on that is formatted with either fat32 or UDF in the camera body. I have a usb C reader that worked flawlessly.

After some windows update UDF formatted drive's doesn't mount and can't open in explorer. In disk management it just shows unallocated space, it does read on an older laptop.

How it this fixable as it's frustrating not being able to offload video files directly to my workstation, as I have to use either a MAC or older windows system to dump it to a external drive.

We really appreciate your time in bringing this concern to us. I totally understand this can be very frustrating for you when something suddenly stopped working. Let us work together to sort this out.

If the issue occur after an update, then this could be something related to compatibility of the driver, or something in Windows services that no longer reads this specific device.

As per article from RED Support, they stated "Only camera firmware 6.4 and later supports UDF. When an SSD is formatted as UDF, .mov and .mxf files are recorded as continuous files. However, R3D files are still separated into 4GB segments but will display as a single clip when referenced together. Since the proxy file sizes are larger, UDF-formatted SSDs take longer to mount to a computer. While the SSD mounts, DO NOT remove or eject the SSD during this process."

In this case, you may need to update your camera firmware and we highly suggest to contact your device manufacturer to assist your further with the installation.
