Windows 10: WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER ENABLING COMPACTOS COMMAND WHILE RUNNING ON WINDOWS 10 1803...

just now applied the below command on another computer running with windows 10 with MSI G41 chipset motherboard.
actual Samsung SSD size is 120GB,Windows 10 is installed on SSD C drive total space 100GB.

Compact.exe /CompactOS:Always
after i received the message like size was reduced 1:8

Can i able to install upcoming windows updates withoutproblems ?
can i able to install any games for playing?
Already installed programs will smoothly after compact ?

I totally forgot to include Windows 10 exclusive command called CompactOS

To reduce the total disk footprint, Windows 10 features a new option in the compact.exe built-in command line tool. CompactOS looks to be a nice upgrade over WIMBoot (in Windows 8.1) which had a lot of promise, but was not as effective as hoped.

In Windows 10, from an administrative command prompt, simply use the commands:

compact /compactos:query
This will query Windows to see if CompactOS is enabled or not

compact /compactos:always
This will enable CompactOS

compact /compactos:never
This will disable CompactOS

 

CompactOS command vs NTFS compression - on SSD

Hello all.

I have a question.

How does CompactOS compare to NTFS compression in terms of ratio and speed (performance when using the computer)? do they deliver similar results?

Also, if i enable CompactOS compression, will this put any strain in terms of reads and writes on my SSD?
