Windows 10: What will happen if there is a power loss during Cumulative update installation.

I have Windows 10 17134.1184 installed on my laptop. In the settings app, there is a cumulative update KB4537762 available of approx. 250 Mb. But there is a problem. My laptop's battery is literally dead and the company says that it cannot provide the battery lately. It gives a backup of <1 second. So, if I apt to update Windows and incur a power loss during installation, what will be the consequences, if any?


If something wrong happens to my laptop, how can I recover it? Please tell me beforehand because prevention is better than cure.

Sudden power loss causes updates to install

Whenever there is a quick power loss and turns back on again, The computer restarts and forces the updates to install. This happened to me twice already and while doing important things. Is there any way to disable that? The restart was already scheduled
for later but still it installed.

 

Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) will not install

Anyone else having problems getting the Cumulative Update for Windows 10 for x64-based Systems (KB3156387) installed? This update has been failing for me & doing a failed to update after downloading & reboot, then rebooting & removing the update.
