Windows 10: What will happen with preinstalled Windows licence if I remove laptop from Microsoft account?

The situation is... I sent my laptop back to ASUS to repair it. Now they ask me to provide a password from the computer, which should be my pin.


Before sending the laptop I cleaned up all discs and reinstalled Windows from scratch. But in order to get my licence, I needed to login in Microsoft account of course. And somewhere while I was installing the Windows I created the pinpassword that doesn't let them into the system now.


So the questions are... If I delete the laptop from Microsoft account to prevent ASUS support having access to the Microsoft account information when I give them the pin. Will I then be able to log in and get my preinstalled Windows back? Where this preinstalled Windows key saved? On the computer or on the cloud? If on the computer could I possibly delete it when I was cleaning up the discs?

Remove account

I suggest you backup your personalized files first before removing the account.
To delete an account, follow these steps:

1. Press WIN + X keys and click Command Prompt (Admin) from the menu.
2. Type the following command and press Enter. Replace test with the name of your sister's account. Code:

 

How to verify that my Windows 10 licence is associated with my Hotmail/Microsoft account

Do those steps:

• Use the keyboard shortcut Windows-I to open the Settings application.
  
• Select Update & Security.
  
• Select Activation
  

Here you see the current status. If the account has no licence you can click on Add an account, enter your account data and the account gets the license added.

To help resolve your concern, we suggest that you add a local account first on your PC, before removing the other account. Follow the steps below:

• To create a local account on your Windows 10 PC:

• Press the Windows key + R.
• Type netplwiz, and then click OK.
• Click Add.
• Click Sign in without a Microsoft account (not recommended).
• Click Local account, type a username, and a
  password (if you'd like one).
• Click Next, and then click Finish.
• Sign out of the Microsoft account you want to delete, sign in using the
  local account you created, and then remove the account you want to delete.

• To remove a Microsoft account from your Windows 10 PC:

• Click the Start button, and then click Settings.
• Click Accounts, scroll down, and then click the Microsoft account you would like to delete.
• Click Remove, and then click Yes.
