Windows 10: What will happen with Windows 7 after installed Windows 10?

I have a question about the new operating system of Microsoft Windows 10 64X Home Edition that will be available on July 29th or so. My question is that when the new operating system of Windows 10 installed in my computer and what will happen with the old operating system of Windows 7 64X Home Edition from the hard drive? Will Microsoft Windows 7 remove from the hard drive after the new installation of Microsoft Windows 10? Or will keep the old version of Windows 7 in the hard drive beside the new version of Windows 10 in one hard drive? Because of asking is that I have 240 GB Solid State Drive and already have 25 GB left in the solid state drive. Should I be okay with the new installation of Windows 10 64X in my solid state drive? Or start busy to remove the programs that I really don't need in my solid state drive.

If you upgrade your computer from Windows 7 SP1 to Windows 10,
Windows settings, personal files, and most apps will still retain on the computer.

Software like autodesk Maya and adobe suite and Directory Opus (windows explorer replacement)?

 

you will have a windows old folder that has your windows 7 data you have 2 choice after upgrade and activation

1 delete windows old folder with disk cleanup
2 do a clean install of windows 10

25GB should be enough to be to install windows 10

 

25GB will probably be OK, like Dave says, but there has been another folder as well in the Previews and that takes up a chunk of space.

It may depend on Win 10s checking on space available. Don't know what headroom it needs to carry on. It will surely make sure you have enough space and just stop at that point so then you can delete stuff and try again.

Bit of guess work as you can tell! Maybe a good excuse for a cleanup anway.

Hopefully you will have a happy experience. Just make sure you image your disk before the upgrade.
