Windows 10: WHAT WINDOWS 10 1809 BUILD NUMBER WILL BE CREATED BY USING MEDIA CREATION TOOL

I have seen many users suffered a issues ,while upgrading 1809 on top of earlier versions. Contents of the Download folder is empty.


I want to know if I try to create windows 10 1809 iso by using media creation tool,

Then what build version is. updated.



I have deleted that feature in install.wim.

the version is home

architecture is 64 bit

build is 1809

the important thing for licensing is the version (home),

it is best to stay with the 64 bit.

the media creation tool will always create media using the latest build

you have created the correct media for your device (just the latest build) home x64 1809

I downloaded the Windows 10 media Creation Tool from the link that you posted and it is the same as what I used before. Both are named as follows:

MediaCreationTool1809.exe



Both also show the same build number you listed. 10.0.17763.1.

The build of the Install.esd file that was created is 10.0.17134.1. which is build 1804 and not 1809

I have a very basic setup with a 4th gen I7 so it is an older system that has been around for a while and shouldn't have any issues accepting the 1809 update.

I couldn't get that update to install which is part of the reason for doing a clean install. It would never show up in my updates even using the update assistant. I just don't want to go through all of this just to
have the same exact problem and still not be able to update to 1809.

I want to create a windows 10 media creation tool on to a USB flash drive. When I got my PC windows 10 was digitally installed and verified. However, I did get the windows 10 home installation DVD with my new PC but the new PC has no CD/DVD drive installed.

I pretty much understand how to create the tool but my issue is the version/build of windows 10 home x64 I have doesn't match the one I downloaded to create the tool. The download version is 1809 while my installed version is 1803. The instructions on the
Microsoft website to create the media states that I must have the same version as the build installed to my PC.

Finally, my question is how can I create the tool for my build of Windows Home 10 x64 if the version to download doesn't match my installed version 1803?

I do have another PC with a CD/DVD player/burner is it possible to copy the windows home 10 install DVD to a USB flash drive?
