Windows 10: Whatever I upload to my profile picture on the microsoft website always ends up being cut...

This happened yesterday when I was updating my profile to something else. I uploaded a full picture just for microsoft to make it incredibly small and cut off in some sort of way. This is irritating me and I've searched the web for answers but none of them really had the right one to my problem. I use an HP Windows 10 laptop.It's like microsoft only saves the top bit of the image and the rest is just a blank black void. How do I fix this problem?

Here is how you can 'trick' the phone into doing an automatic upload. (All steps to be done on PC)

• Connect the phone to your PC.
• Open the phone memory and go to this 'other pictures' folder you are talking about.
• Cut/Copy them from that location and put them into the folder called 'SAVED PICTURES'

That's it. The phone will automatically start uploading these pictures to SkyDrive.

 

Upload pictures to website using Windows Phone 8

OK so I've been frustrated by my Windows Phone 8's ability to upload pictures to various websites. The fact now that it can not upload to this very website (www.Answers.Microsoft.com) is just mindblowing. Microsoft just added the feature to insert pictures
to threads by pressing the "Add Image" button. But apparently that is not possible with a microsoft/windows mobile device.

• I've tried it with my old Android phone and it works fine. After pressing the Choose File button a box pops up asking where the file is located, which is typical for all websites that I've uploaded photos to. See the first screenshot below.

• When trying it with my Windows Phone 8, HTC 8x nothing at all happens. Which is what I find on all websites that I've tried to upload a picture to. See the second screenshot.

Is it possible to upload pictures to websites with a microsoft mobile device? If not, why is it that both Android and IOS allow this functionality but microsoft does not?

• Click on open with.
• Select paint.
• You will be able to see the picture in paint.
