Windows 10: What's best way to play VOB DVDs on Surface Pro 7?

I need to play DVDs on a Surface Pro 7, including VOB files. What's the easiest way?

If you copied your DVDs to your HDD just change the .vob extension to .mpg.

Designate DVD Player to recognize .vob files

DVD Player does not play the .VOB files on the DVD I inserted into my DVD unit.

In the Settings area, designate file types to apps, the DVD player is not listed as an installed option, although it is listed as an installed App (since I purchased it's download, eh!)..

However, Media Player or Store are listed for the .VOB file type. But as we know Media Player also does not play .VOB files and that is why we have to buy DVD Player.

What a mess Microsoft has given us trusting users, eh!!..

So even though I paid your toll of $17.56 to buy this piece of non working software when it should have been free with my W-10 upgrade anyway, it needs to be made to work else I respectfully request a refund, with thanks.

 

Trying to play and edit DVD Videos in VOB format (Win10)

Running Win10 Pro on my desktop and trying to edit some old vides I made and saved to DVD.

Pulled out some old family videos I created a few years back which are written to DVD in VOB format.

Now that I'm using Win10 Pro it seems I can't get them to play.
I have tried installing K-lite codex but still doesn't play.

I know I can use a 3rd party software to convert to something else but at the moment I just want to play them and edit them in Adobe Premiere Elements 2020.

Any video Editors out there?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
