Windows 10: Whats taking up space on my work computer?!

I just spent an hour freeing up 25GB today from temporary and user data from an old user.

Restart and login myself- 24GB

Start Photoshop - 21 GB

Close Ps and click disk clean up, it says can clear 100MB. Im like fine. Goes down to 19GB.

Even if I restarted, it's down to 19GB

^All this in the span of 5 minutes



I mean before this I only had 6 GB of free space and sometimes couldnt open photoshop files because I didn't have enough scratch disk space.



I've had 25 GB free before with other programs installed (Premier, and After Effects) but slowly its dwindled down an I uninstalled those.



I don't save files on the Hard Drive, I save them on local servers, so where is this disk space going?

AMD FX OC'ers Club

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

Windows File Explorer is not great at finding out where your hard drive space is being used . . .

• Click HERE to download a small free utility Called TreeSize.
  
• Run that utility as Administrator
• Point it to your C Drive
• Let the list of files/folders build
• Expand out the folder(s) that are taking all your hard drive space
• Please provide a screenshot of the resulting window in order for us to make a better analysis of what is happening with your system and suggest a remedy

The tutorials provided are just a list of troubleshooting steps. Use only the steps which apply to you.

Since none of the troubleshooting steps here worked, I'd suggest you do a Clean install.
