Windows 10: What's the current state of current Fall Creators Update stability?

I initially installed the Fall Creators Update when first offered, and I don't have to tell you about the disaster that followed.

But I have learned from my experiences, ie. anniversary update nightmare, & used a macrium image to dial back, after which I deferred the feature updates for 360 days.

So I'm checking to see if enough progress has been made or suggestions to make it work, like drivers updates, etc. which have been mentioned elsewhere?

The Intel(r) HD Graphics 530 i5 6500 driver automatically installed by Windows update is not the latest version, but you know, I believe if it ain't broke, don't fix it when it comes to driver updates.

How To Add Comments for Folders, PDF Files, MS Office Files, and Text Documents; Windows 10 (not 7)

So, to summarize for everyone, the current state of Windows 10 (version 1709, Fall Creators Update)
does not allow adding "Comments" in the "Detail" tab under a file's properties
unless it is either one of the following kinds of files:

• Music
• Pictures

Although the the following list is not comprehensive,
these common kinds of files, or folders, can not have "Comments" added to them in the current state of Windows 10 (version 1709, Fall Creators Update):

• Folders
• PDF files
• Microsoft Office files (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
• Text documents (txt and rtf)

 

Windows10Upgrade on latest edition?

Windows 10 Creators has been replaced by Windows 10 Fall Creators update, hence the folder.

What is the current build number? Check that by Settings>System>About.

That's nice to hear. Did you do anything special, or was it smooth sailing from the start?

Which driver version do you have installed?

Did you install the creators update when it came out, or did you wait a while?
